PRUDENTIAL CAROLINAS FAMILY OF COMPANIES EXCITED ABOUT BROOKFIELD ACQUISITION ANNOUNCEMENT
RALEIGH, NC – On Tuesday, December 6th, Prudential Real Estate Affiliates announced that Prudential Real Estate and Prudential Relocation Services were acquired by Brookfield Residential Property Services. Brookfield is a leading residential real estate franchising and employee relocation services expert, part of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., a NYSE listed asset manager with approximately $150 billion of assets under management, meticulously put together during a 100-year history.
This transaction creates a new industry powerhouse and establishes Brookfield as the #3 player in the North American residential real estate brokerage market with almost 80,000 real estate agents and 2,800 locations. Brookfield is #2 in relocation services having 35% of Fortune 100 companies as relocation clients. Brookfield has grown and continues to grow like no other in the real estate relocation services industries.
“While we are excited about the Brookfield announcement, it will have no affect on our company’s organizational structure, no changes will occur to our branding, and our existing tools and business processes will remain the same,” says Tommy Camp, President and CEO of the Prudential Carolinas Realty family of companies which includes Prudential Carolinas Realty in Winston-Salem and Charlotte, Prudential York Simpson Underwood Realty in the Triangle, and Prudential Yost & Little Realty in Greensboro.
Prudential Carolinas Realty, Prudential York Simpson Underwood Realty, and Prudential Yost & Little Realty are among the largest franchisees within the Prudential Real Estate network. The companies are wholly owned and operated by HomeServices of America, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate and one of the largest and fastest‐growing real estate organizations in America and the second largest real estate services company in the nation.
“Brookfield and Prudential are a great fit, sharing a passion for the business and a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, and combined will be part of a bigger, stronger organization – which is good for our clients and sales associates,” says Camp. He believes this will bring expanded relocation opportunities for his firm’s clients and sales associates, new enhancements to the many support systems and sales tools available to his sales associates that help in serving their clients, and improved online marketing resources over time.
“The bottom line,” says Camp, “is that Brookfield is committed to growth which will greatly benefit our clients and sales associates. This acquisition is a win-win for all parties.”
